Nathalie grew up in Eastern North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology. During her final year at UNC, Nathalie studied abroad in Southern Africa and had the opportunity to intern at an after-school program. Following graduation, Nathalie served as an Urban Fellow at Phoenix Charter Academy in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She joined the Alma team in 2011 as a Founding Associate Teacher. In 2017, Ms. Concepcion began supporting Alma’s then-seventh grade scholars as they considered their options for high school. In 2018, she was promoted to Secondary Schools Guidance Counselor to help scholars navigate the high school selection and application process to ensure each scholar found the right fit.
