Emily graduated from Colby College and joined Teach for America as a 2010 corps member in New Orleans. Emily taught literacy at a district alternative school serving overage students and then went on to teach and serve as an Assistant Principal at KIPP: McDonogh 15. In 2016 after graduating from UPENN's School Leadership Program, Emily came to Alma as the Dean of Scholar Support and served in that position until 2019 when she transitioned into her new role of Chief of Staff.
