Ashley Cabral

Dean of Scholar Support

Ms. Cabral grew up in Kingston, MA and now lives in Wareham.
After high school, Ms. Cabral went to Westfield State College to double major in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies, with a minor in Reading. After graduation, she worked over the course of the next three years for the Plymouth branch of the Old Colony Y as a camp counselor and director of the Chipmunk Camp, as well as for their before/after school programming.She also taught in the Plymouth Public School system. Ms. Cabral started her Master’s degree at Simmons College in 2011, with a focus on Language & Literacy, to earn her Reading Specialist license. Once completed, she began teaching at Prospect Hill Academy’s Upper Elementary Campus as a Reading Specialist. She was there for three years before making the transition to Alma in the summer of 2016. Ms. Cabral joined Alma as the 5-7 Literacy Specialist, looped with her scholars to become the 6-8 Literacy Specialist, and transitioned into the role of Dean of Scholar Support in January 2019.
Outside of school, Ms. Cabral enjoys running with Ms. Sousa and Ms. Carvalho (or her dog, Doug!). She also is an avid reader, as well as a beach-goer. Ms. Cabral and her husband have 3 dogs who deeply enjoy protecting their home from squirrels, foxes, and passersby.
