What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I am excited to be joining the crew here at Alma because the entire staff seems to be very welcoming and dedicated to helping each student be their best.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to use my math knowledge to provide extra support in the classroom and to be an additional resource for students to be able to deepen their understanding of the subject.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
So many teachers have made a difference in my life, but one who particularly stands out to me is my 8th grade math teacher, Ms. Santos. She piqued my interest in math by presenting me with fun challenges. Her class was the first time that I really began to see math as not boring but exciting.
Why did you become involved in education?
I worked as a math tutor in college and found that to be a very rewarding experience. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and helping them overcome whatever misunderstandings are getting in their way.
Where did you go to college or post-secondary school?
Muhlenberg College
What did you like about your college?
I liked that it was very supportive of students pursuing multiple interests through double majors, minors, and extracurricular programs. Also there was a very supportive atmosphere.
What is your favorite food?
I love blueberry bagels with cream cheese.
What is your favorite book?
I don’t know if I can choose just one! My favorite book that I read this year was Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart.
