What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I was drawn to Alma when I read and heard about their unique approaches to learning and growth both inside and outside of the classroom. Being a new teacher I am looking forward to developing and experiencing as much as possible with my future students. Once I visited Alma, I knew the possibilities were endless.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
Coming from Minnesota, I hope to bring in a unique set of skills to the Alma crew . I hope to create a love for learning inside my classroom and develop meaningful relationships with both my students and colleagues.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My first grade teacher made a big difference in my life. She was constantly encouraging the most from her students and inspired us to be the very best versions of ourselves. She lives in the same small town that my parents do, she is 91 years old today and anytime she runs into my Mom she still asks about me.
Where did you go to college? What did you like about your college?
I don’t know if there is enough space here to write about what I liked about my college! I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota. The community at this school was unbelievable, I felt at home from the moment I stepped on campus. I met some of my closest friends during my time there and my professors were always went above and beyond for myself and my classmates. I will always consider Gustavus my home away from home.
