What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I admire and am invested in Alma’s mission to “[set all] students on a college trajectory and [challenge] them to be service-minded leaders.” I am eager to work with the Alma team to help our students succeed in achieving these goals.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope that I can help my students to recognize that they have the ability to do great things by encouraging and modeling a growth mindset. I also hope to share my love of reading and writing with my students.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
Growing up, I was homeschooled. My mom definitely made a positive impact in my education, as she encouraged and pushed me to be a better writer through writing and rewriting, because “A writer’s work is never done.” She taught me to always challenge myself and do my best.
Where did you go to college? What did you like about your college?
I went to college at Framingham State University. Among my favorite experiences were the literary conversations I engaged in with fellow classmates and professors over great British and American classic literature.
