What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I love teaching and I wanted the opportunity to share my passion for reading and good books with others.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to contribute to the positive culture and share my expertise in the area of literacy and reading.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My first grade teacher, Sister Ruth. She knew I was a reader and loved books. She let me go to the school library and check out books when I finished my work. I loved that!!
Why did you become involved in education?
I was a babysitter and taught arts and crafts classes in high school and went directly into elementary education in college. I’ve taught students from 3 to 83 how to read and write. I’ve always loved reading and my family is full of teachers!
