Alma Families,
We are so happy that we have been able to provide in person instruction to your scholar since September 14th. Our scholars and teachers have been working hard and learning so much each day! We know that each day of in person learning is incredibly valuable for our scholars and hope to continue to serve your scholar in person as the year progresses. Thank you also for your diligent work screening your scholar for symptoms each morning and keeping them home if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 so that we can keep our community safe.
We wanted to reach out today because, as you may have seen in the news, in the last week there was a very concerning rise in the number of positive COVID cases per day in the New Bedford community. Please see the data below.
At this time, we will continue in-person instruction with your scholar. However, we also want to give you advance notice that if rates continue to rise in the community, we will need to quickly shift to fully remote instruction for your scholar.
As a reminder, if you would like to opt your scholar out of in-person learning at any time, please contact your campus front office at the phone number below.
We know this is difficult news and we very much want to keep your scholar learning with us in person every day. Please help make this possible by wearing your mask and limiting your interactions with people outside of your household. In particular, please practice this over the weekend and participate in Halloween activities safely and outdoors.
