What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to be a great support for my colleagues and the students of Alma. I hope to contribute to Alma’s mission and guide students to the college path and to be service minded leaders.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
Christine Andrade and Lauren Bettencourt. Christine made school and learning interesting and fun. She taught in a way that me and my peers could show our knowledge with creativity and she just went above and beyond for her students.
Lauren Bettencourt is an amazing teacher and I’ve learned many skills and different teaching strategies from her. I now use these strategies in my everyday life.
Why did you become involved in education?
I became involved in education because I am interested in learning and I enjoy making a difference. I want to have a positive impact to students and help them reach their full potential.
Where did you go to college or post-secondary school and what did you like about it?
Bristol Community College. I liked the support from my professors as well as all of the supports the campus has to offer.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is stuffed chicken.
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is “If animals Kissed Goodnight”. My daughter and I would read it every night. Holds precious memories.
