Meet Mrs. Carreau!

What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
Being given the opportunity to expand my knowledge as an educator, help as many students as I can and hopefully one day be a Lead Teacher.

What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to contribute the knowledge that I have gained from the other public schools I have worked in, but also new ideas and activities that can be brought into a classroom.

What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
The teacher that made a difference in my life the most was my second grade elementary teacher. She was always so kind, and understanding. She was always there if you needed extra help, or just needed a hug. She would also take the extra time to help with math, as that subject was not my strongest in school. She knew it was hard for me at times, but she always made math fun!

Why did you become involved in education?
I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was little kid, I love watching children grow, learn and discover new things. My favorite thing is the "ah-ah" moment children get when something they have been learning clicks!

Where did you go to college or post-secondary school?
Bridgewater State University and Cape Cod Community College

What did you like about your college?
The professors I had at each college were always so kind, and pushed you to be your best.

What is your favorite food?
So many to pick from, but I would say pizza is my favorite.

What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is A Dog's Purpose by Bruce Cameron
