Alma families invited to first SEPAC/ELPAC meetings of new school year

Are you a parent or guardian of a scholar who receives Special Education or English Language support services? We invite you to join our Special Education & English Learner Advisory Meetings on Wednesday, October 9th, at the Alma Family Center located at Fisher College, 777 Church St.

There will be two topic options for Alma's SEPAC meeting; both will begin at 5:30 pm:

Topic #1: Transitioning to High School with an IEP or 504

  • How do records get to your high school
  • What questions to ask when you visit
  • What to bring with you when you visit

Topic #2: Everything you need to know about the new MA IEP

  • Prepare for IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with school professionals to use the new form during IEP meetings
  • Partner with the school throughout the year to put the IEP into action

Meeting Schedule:

  • SEPAC: 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM
  • ELPAC: 6:15 PM - 6:45 PM

What to Expect:

  • Connect with Other Families: Meet other families with scholars who benefit from these essential support services.
  • Learn About Our Services: Discover the range of support services offered at Alma and how they can benefit your child.
  • Get Involved: Help set goals and provide input on future meeting topics to ensure our programs meet your needs.
