What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
Alma's mission and vision for student excellence aligns with my own. The culture and overall feel of the school was how I imagine a school should feel. It felt like a family.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to be a positive addition to the school as a teacher, leader, and role model. Having taught at several different types of schools and other countries, I hope these experiences will serve myself and the school with best teaching practices.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
Lisa Brown. Lisa Brown was a high school teacher. She taught among others, a class called Exploring and Respecting Differences. She not only taught us about the world and how to change it, but she also lived it. She inspired us to be our best selves. Even after the class was finished and graduated, she looked out for us all and was always someone that was there to help. Lisa Brown is one in a million.
Why did you become involved in education?
I have always been a leader and a role model. It was natural for me to enter into the education world. I have a unique way of reaching children, I understand them. I feel my best place to be of service to our youth is in the classroom.
