Scholar Uniforms Reminders/Updates for 2024-2025
We hope you all have a safe and memorable summer vacation! We know that different families have different timelines and plans for doing any back to school shopping, and wish to highlight some key parts of our uniform policy to ensure all scholars are ready to come to school, in uniform, each day.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts
- Pants, skirts and shorts may be khaki/tan, black, or navy blue in color. Pants, skirts and shorts must be khaki or chino material. No jeans, leggings, or sweatpants are allowed.
- Khaki or chino material pants with an elastic waistband and/or ankles are allowed.
Jumpers
- Jumpers are allowed in khaki color/material only; and an Alma polo shirt must be worn underneath the jumper.
Shoes/Socks
- Scholar shoes must be solid black, solid white, solid brown or any combination of these colors. Shoes must be close-toed and must have backs for safety.
- Any color socks or leggings (worn under skirts and jumpers) are permitted.
Shirts/Undershirts
- Scholar polo shirts -- Alma logo embroidered light blue polo shirts for K - 5th grades and navy blue polo shirts for 6th - 8th grades are required.
- Any color long sleeve shirt is permitted under the Alma polo.
Sweatshirt
- Alma logo embroidered crew neck sweatshirts & ΒΌ zip sweatshirts are allowed in navy blue or gray for all grades, K-8.
The following items are not in uniform and are therefore not permitted in any grade:
- Tops/Outerwear
- Any shirt that is not a polo shirt (light blue for grades K-5 and navy blue for grades 6-8) and does not have the Alma del Mar logo
- Hooded sweatshirts or zip-up hoodies
- Any outerwear that does not have the Alma del Mar logo; or is not solid navy or gray
- Bottoms
- Sweatpants
- Leggings
- Bike shorts
- Shoes
- Crocs or clogs
- Slides
- Foam runners
- Flip flops
- Any other shoe that has open toes or an open back
