Dear Alma Families:
Getting outside and moving everyday is very important for our scholars. With that in mind please make sure to send your scholars to school this winter with gloves, hats, jackets etc, so they can move their bodies while staying warm.
Alma's cold weather policy will keep all children in when the temperature falls below freezing, or when there are dangerous wind chill levels, but our teams will prioritize getting children outside as much as possible. Your cooperation by sending your scholar(s) with warm winter gear every day will help make this happen.
Families are also strongly encouraged to write their scholar’s name on the tag of any outerwear to ensure any misplaced items get returned.
Families are also encouraged to either donate their gently used winter gear that their scholars outgrew to our Coat Closet, or visit the Coat Closet for items for your scholars to stay warm this winter. Contact our Family Engagement Coordinators for more information:

If your scholar has any medical issues with being outside in colder weather, please contact your campus Health Office.
