Meet Nurse Kim!

What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I love the culture of the school, I am an Alma parent, and appreciate an environment where my personal morals align with the mission of the school.

What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to teach both holistic wellness and illness prevention to the staff and scholars while teaching them how to advocate for themselves and those who can't advocate for themselves.

What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
I had a teacher that sent many encouragements to me while completing my BSN, and sent flowers when I was grieving the loss of my father last year. Although we never met in person, due to the online platform of the class, they went above and beyond to show they cared not only about my education but my well being.

Why did you become involved in education?
I love watching someone develop in their learning journey and enjoy the challenge of figuring out how they best learn in order to foster their growth.

Where did you go to college or post-secondary school?
Bristol Community College and Western Governors University.

What did you like about your college?
I love being a lifelong learner.

What is your favorite food?
Steak and lobster

What is your favorite book?
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer
