What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
A chance to bring theater to a school that hasn’t had a program like it before and inspire creative excellence within the community
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
Expression, freedom, joy, and a chance to try new things.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My high school music teacher, who taught me the joy of mentorship.
Why did you become involved in education?
I have always wanted to make a difference, to help kids have new experiences, and to create a space for safe expression. I started volunteering in a summer reading program in my teens and discovered how wonderful it can be to see the moment where a student really understands what they’re reading.
Where did you go to college or post-secondary school?
Emerson college (undergrad) and Boston University (graduate)
What did you like about your college?
Anything you could dream of doing artistically was possible- I helped write a comedy musical based on a horror film, I acted in an action movie about a clown universe, I helped build a giant set, and many other experiences!
What is your favorite food?
Fajitas or tacos (pizza is a close second)
What is your favorite book?
Dune by Frank Herbert
