Meet Ms. Passley!

What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
The inspiration to join the Crew at Alma came from the various online videos and photos depicting the work and dedication of the teachers and students. This sparked the desire to participate in an exciting experience.

What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I aspire to give of my best to the institution and my scholars. I look forward to building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. It is my hope to create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices, and to be a role model and advocate for Alma and education in the community.

What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My fifth grade teacher was most inspiring. She instilled the importance of discipline, hard work, endurance, and self confidence. As an educator, I have adopted her techniques to ensure that my scholars are exposed to these valuable lessons.

Why did you become involved in education?
Teaching has always been my passion. Being an educator brings me great joy especially when my scholars excel, maximizing their full potential. It is my desire to mold young lives, inspire, and promote positive social change.

Where did you go to college or post-secondary school?
Walden University

What did you like about your college?
The university created many pathways for everyone to succeed. The professors at Walden University were accommodating, supportive, and professional.
