Jonathan was born and raised in New Bedford before recently moving to Fairhaven with his fiance and stepson. He attended New Bedford High School before earning a degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State University. Jonathan enjoys being active and being involved with sports.
Why did you choose the Alma team?
I chose Alma Del Mar because they gave me the opportunity to work in my field of Physical Education and providing a more stable life for myself and family.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to bring my knowledge of Physical Education to provide students with an enjoyable and knowledge educational experience.
What is your top goal during your first year with Alma?
My goal is to make a connection will all of the students to give them the best learning experience they can have. I would like to make an impact on the students, so they can take what they learned in class and use it outside of school.
What teacher made a difference in your life — how?
My high school Phys Ed teacher was the driving force for where I am today. I enjoy the multiple ways I can impact a child’s life in the physical education setting.
Why did you become involved in education?
I became involved in education because I want to have a positive impact on children’s lives. I am able to use teaching as a platform and be a role model for students.
Where did you go to college? What did you like about your college?
I attended Bridgewater State University. I enjoyed the experience of going through the Phys Ed program with my other classmates through the years. It is awesome working hard with the same people and finally getting to celebrate together at graduation day.
What is your favorite place?
My favorite place is Patriots Place. I am a huge Patriots fan and I love getting to go to games or even head down to patriot place when the team has other events.
What is your favorite food?
If there were one food that I had to choose as my favorite I would have to go with scallops wrapped in bacon.
