The founding student body of Alma del Mar Charter School is representative of the geographic, racial, and socioeconomic diversity of New Bedford.
Currently, 24% of scholars at Alma del Mar receive special education services. We serve children with autism, epilepsy, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, seizure disorders, dyslexia and dysgraphia. 13% of our scholars are English Language Learners. All learners are fully included in a general education classroom.
